[Day 2] The Louvre in All It’s Glory

This set of pictures is the largest of the day, so I’ve worked to curate a smaller collection for the blog. There were so many people there, so I regretted thoroughly not bringing a mask with me. Outside the masses of people, the Louvre is really insane. It’s gigantic, and it’s said that it would take 5 days to view all the art if you only spent 3 seconds on each art piece! What I loved the most was when we first descended into the underground part of it as it smelled of wet, shod stone and lavender. The scent still lingers in my nose, and I feel the smell will be forever tied to my journey there. Beyond that these photographs will portray different galleries we went to, the ASTRONOMICALLY MASSIVE paintings, the Mona Lisa outer doors, middle section of the bottom (but not underground) non-gallery level where there are tons of shops and cafes and the inverted pyramid made of glass, and also the one gift shop we actually went into which was all minerals (you gotta when you’re with a geology fanatic such as myself). Mom had to pull me away from my geological loves because I was seriously considering spending money I don’t have.

To get back to our stay, we took the metro for the first time, and accidentally got off two stops ahead of our stop so we walked more and arrived at 7:20pm with the “maybe” intention of popping back out for supper at the FRANCE MACDONALD’S per my request, but once we got inside, we just deflated completely and resigned ourselves to relaxation and leftover snacks from our plane trip.
Every other country I go to, I aim to eat once at their McDonald’s because each are so different from ambience to architecture to the food offered! (Not to mention, the food is always way yummier than US McDonald’s.)
