We had to drive down the mountain to pick up shiitake mushrooms for dinner and for hiking snacks, so we decided to go to a hiking trail further away (than we would if staying at the house). So, we headed over to Jefferson National State Area which houses multiple trails, but three scenic overlooks: Sunset Overlook (where we parked), Jefferson Overlook, and Luther Rock. We had an absolutely delightful hike up and down. Tried some dried mango slices and a new brand of beef jerky. Here are some memories from our ascent!
